What's up Bhumi! We're Friday the 13th!

Dear backers, friends, customers, lovely you!  

Have you ever wondered where the myth of Friday the 13th being an unlucky date comes from?   

With a little research on internet (and Wikipedia! Thank you for your existence! ;)), the below appears to be the most popular reason on why  Friday 13th is considered an unlucky date: "The superstition surrounding Friday the 13th is thought to originate with the Last Supper, attended by 13 people – Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples – on Maundy Thursday, the night before his crucifixion by Roman soldiers on Good Friday. The number 13 is therefore associated with Judas Iscariot, Christ’s betrayer, and is regarded as imperfect when compared with 12,  which represents the number of months in a year."  A Judeo-Christian belief that has spreaded almost all over the world!

Then in modern era, in 1907, eccentric stockbroker Thomas Lawson published a book called  Friday the Thirteenth. It detailed an evil business’s attempts to crash  the stock market on the unluckiest day of the year. The book was a sell-out and in 1916 made into a feature-length film. Finally, the myth acquired the first seal of Hollywood in 1980 when Paramount Pictures released Friday the 13. Fridays would not be the  same again, after Jason proceeded to slash his way across a summer camp and US box offices.  

Today in Paris, there is a massive strike in public transportation, “strategically” chosen to reinforce the myth? 😆  

So all this to say, we are not at all superstitious but it coincided that we are having some "troubles" in the warehouse where the Bhumi Mats are being held to be shipped. There was an accident that made most of all the outer boxes and inner boxes to "collapse". 

The whole production needs to be checked, we discovered many individual boxes totally smashed.... 😱😩   

What to do? Cry and scream at people and try to find a person to blame? Or just surrender to the ebb and flow of life... What would you do?  

See the positive side of any given situation, right? Well the good news is that the mats are intact!!! 👏🏽😃💪  

So please bare with us, hang there, we promise we’re working hard to get your Bhumi mat delivered as soon as possible!

Bhumi Mat, Corking Updates!

Dearest customers,  friends, visionaries, mums, dads, talented you, THANK YOU for your patience  and support!

It sure has been a long interesting journey since last year when the  creation of the Bhumi Mat started.  Things are not perfect, far from it but we are doing the best we can to  be as authentic and transparent (though we depend on other structures,  persons, organisms...) as we can. 

We have been slow at giving updates, apologies for that! As mentioned in our former update, the production had a considerable delay, it is finished now! Hurray!

The conditioning and  packing of the Bhumi Mats is in process now. Shipping will certainly take another 4-6 weeks. We are working on it, super hard, trying to bring your Bhumi Mat asap!

So be patience my friends, it will pay off! 😜😀🙏😆 Joke aside, promise will keep you posted on the  shipping!

PATIENCE ALWAYS PAYS!

Dear backer, customer, friend,

Today's digital era give us access to many things in an extremely easy way, with a few clicks we can get almost anything we can imagine, we can virtually meet anyone as well! We spend a lot of time in front of our screens and we sometimes loose ourselves in the virtual worlds. But nothing is yet as powerful as meeting a person in real life. We still need the interaction of vibes and energies that are created in order to establish a connection. 

As mentioned in our last update, we went to China to meet the person who has been interacting with us since last year to develop the Bhumi mat, it was a meaningful experience!!

Her name is Jane, she's partnered with Mr. D to create yoga mats and sports equipment! She manages the international clients and all export matters. She is also the mother of a beautiful 6 year old boy!  

We visited the  factory, we met all  those who are involved in making the Bhumi Mat. We checked the cork layer which will now be brought to the facilities where it is bind with the natural rubber layer!  We also saw how they are being laser  printed ! 

FACT: It takes 01:48:09 almost two hours to laser print the Psyche!!

So now, a bit more of patience until the Bhumi Mats are being produced and finished :)

BHUMI MAT Launch on Production !!!

Hello lovely backers,

In our last update, we announced the production was launched! We are going to be more specific, we consolidated all orders from you, the backers, the events we have been organizing, the yoga studios where Bhumi Mat will be featured, the pre-orders etc... and placed the order. You all loved the Bhumi Mat, our supplier was not expecting such an order as it is a family run business. 

The sourcing of the raw materials have been taking longer than expected. Looking for the better and nicer cork layer!

Many of you are impatient to receive this beauty, we are working every day, all the time to get them to you asap!! ;)

We will be visiting the factory on the second week of July, we will have a better idea of when the Bhumi Mats can be shipped.

We are now gathering and preparing all shipping info, most of you have replied to the survey sent through BackerKit, we are still missing few. So if you haven't done it, go quickly to your inbox (maybe spam) and look for a BackerKit email if you'd like to get your Bhumi Mat. If there is a change please let us know we still have time to modify. Once the Bhumi Mats are shipped, it will be very very tough to modify the info, so please please make sure you provided us with complete name, complete delivery address, phone number and email address. All the above info is super important for the transporter to track you better. Once delivered we will not be responsible for missed information. Please note duty fees may apply depending on the country you are living, we will not be responsible for these fees.

Hello lovely backers,

Thanks for all of your amazing support so far. Here’s a quick update on our end.

Since  we finished our campaign, we have been collecting information. It took a  while longer (than expected) to finalize the surveys but we are there!

We launched the production! YAY! We'll come back to you with more updates soon.

In the meantime we have been coming to different places in Paris for you to try the Bhumi Mat and get excited about getting yours soon!

We'd love to come to other cities, will you like to host us?
